Childcare meets designer chic at this trendy five-star sea front hotel. Almyra, part of the Thanos Hotels group and a member of Design Hotels, is sister hotel to the nearby Annabelle, and Anassa in Latchi. It has the feel of a contemporary seaside resort and families play a key part at Almyra (although it is also perfect for hip couples).

The interior is cool and fresh but the staff are warm and friendly and the overall effect is very soothing. Rooms, which are minimalist and simple in décor, are refreshingly bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows. The garden and pool areas give a real feeling of privacy and relaxed style. The beautiful al fresco signature restaurant Notios really comes into its own at night with sensual lighting and the sounds of the sea in the background.

The Almyraspa includes the poolside Eauzone Restaurant both of which are for adults-only (16yrs+). It has a range of treatment rooms, two spa suites with water therapy and an outside deck for yoga. In addition, there is an indoor and an outdoor pool (both adult only), a state-of-the-art gym and a tennis court.

The children’s facilities are simply superb. Special features include a crèche and Kids’ Club (split into four age groups) and the inspired “Baby Go Lightly” programme, whereby everything a travelling baby might need can be pre-booked from sterilisers to pushchairs. If you like to venture out in the evenings, the restaurants, bars and shops of modern Paphos are a short stroll away. Almyra is the winner of a Condé Nast Traveller Gold List Award.

The Almyra has four restaurants (some are seasonal) / one bar / one pool bar.

Notios

This signature al fresco à la carte restaurant draws upon the purity of Japanese food and reflects the sensuality of Mediterranean taste. Weather permitting Notios may be closed in the period from November to March.

Ouzeri

Located at beach level, Ouzeri is the traditional seaside summertime restaurant, focusing on light Greek cuisine and simple local Cypriot dishes. Ouzeri is closed in the period from November to March.

Mosaics

Guests can enjoy lavish buffet meals at Mosaics, which is also where the scrumptious breakfasts are served. Mosaics is the main restaurant of the hotel. Exciting theme nights such as Seafood Market, Asian-Pacific or Cyprus Traditional complete the casual dining experience.

Eauzone

Located on the right side of the lobby by the fireplace. A lovely setting to enjoy your dinner, with magnificent sea vistas, accompanied by live music on selected evenings. This restaurant is located at AlmyraSpa. Open for over 16 years only (light Mediterranean cuisine).

Aeras

Located on the right side of the lobby by the fireplace. A lovely setting to enjoy your dinner, with magnificent sea vistas, accompanied by live music on selected evenings.

They are are available six days per week (Closed Wednesdays) and open from 9.30am to 5.30pm

Titans

Open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays) 09.30-17.30 for ages 4 months - 2 years 11 months.
Daily activities suitable for the younger members of the family plus complimentary nappies, swimming nappies, wipes, milk, and freshly made meals are provided during club hours. Specially designed sleep rooms are also available.

Griffins

Open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays) 09.30-17.30 for ages 3 years - 4 years 11 months.
Locally inspired activities, such as making mosaics and cake baking. Outdoor activities include traditional Cypriot games.

Centaurs

Open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays) 09.30-17.30 for ages 5 years - 7 years 11 months.
Exciting activities using the facilities of the resort, including Cypriot dancing and visits to the kitchen gardens. There is also an area dedicated to toys and games.

Tritons

Open 6 days a week (closed Wednesdays) 09.30-17.30 for ages 8 years - 11 years 11 months. A busy energetic programme is on offer for the Pioneers, mostly spent around the resort using the facilities on offer.

Highly recommend – ideal location in the centre of Paphos close to the beach offering private and peaceful setting with great views over the bay, professional staff offering a high quality service and excellent food. We loved our stay!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good choice of food at the buffet restaurant . The balcony of our suite was only furnished with hard backed upright uncomfortable chairs which could only be sat on for a few minutes at a time.

Difficult to get a sun bed by the pool as many were taken by other quests leaving towels on them for hours a day and not occupying them. This would be even more of a problem at peak holiday times.

Excellent hotel, welcoming to children. Staff were super helpful. Selection of food and standard was excellent. Perfect location for venturing out to Paphos Harbour.

We absolutely loved our week over May half term at Almyra. Fantatsic healthy food with a great variety every night. The pools were heated and also perfect depth for my two children. The sun lounger double beds were really comfy and the staff really helpful and friendly. The interconnecting rooms were fantastic for a family of 4 and we didn`t even hear them creating noise in the mornings in their own rooms. Location was ideal with a short walk to the beach and the town.

A fantastic holiday. Hotel was amazing and so was the service. Nothing was trouble for the staff.
